Katherine Kreppel Obituary A memorial service to honor and celebrate the life of Katherine "Cappy" Kreppel will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2021 at The Bridge Church, 11929 South Memorial Drive, Bixby, OK 74008 (corner of 121st St. and S. Memorial Dr.) Katherine “Cappy” Frances Kreppel nee Youngling was born in North Bergen, NJ on April 5, 1924 to Katherine Steer and George Youngling. She was the eldest of 4 children. Cappy’s siblings Muriel, Bernice and George preceded her in death. She married Walter Charles Kreppel, Jr. when he was stationed in Montgomery, AL during his training to serve in the Army Air Corp. as a pilot in 1943 during WWII. Walter preceded her in death in 1981. Cappy is survived by her children Bonnie Kreppel Brown (Jeffrey Brown) of Broken Arrow, OK, Richard Kreppel (Trisha Davidson Kreppel) of Lafayette, NJ and Terry Kreppel (Carol Kreppel) of Kunkletown, PA. She has 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Cappy loved being the “matriarch” of the family. Cappy graduated from Ridgefield Park High School in Ridgefield Park, NJ. She was both a Brownie then Girl Scout leader for a troop of amazing girls in Rochelle Park, NJ for many years. Her scouts still remember anecdotes from camping trips, attending Broadway shows and earning badges. She loved spending summers at their property on the lake in Sussex County, NJ. Cappy was born again at 44 years of age. Her first mission field was her children and family members. Cappy was widowed in her mid-50’s. Her life changed in many ways leading her to nations far and wide as a missionary. The Lord sent her to Zimbabwe, Africa, to the Philippines with a Filipino ministry called “In His Presence Unto All Nations”, to Israel and many other nations, always representing the Lord. Cappy’s calling was teaching how to pray and witnessing for Christ. She was the New Jersey State Prayer Coordinator for AGLOW International and held the position of International Ambassador for AGLOW for many years. Cappy moved to Broken Arrow, OK in 2008 where she was still active in the Tulsa Chapter of Aglow International as Oklahoma State Prayer Coordinator. Cappy proudly rode with the Patriot Guard Riders in memory of her husband, Walt. Cappy became the adopted “mom” to many over the years. Cappy went to be with the Lord on May 22, 2021.
