Justin Wayne Samuels' Obituary
Justin Wayne Samuels, born on March 29, 1984, in Irving, Texas, to Terry Wayne Samuels and Vicki Lynn (Henderson), lived a life marked by kindness, humor, and a deep love for those around him. Justin completed kindergarten and first grade in South Lake, Texas and then spent his other formative years in Bixby, Oklahoma, where he attended school, played football, and graduated from Bixby High School. His youth was filled with the joys of video games, skateboarding, and the rhythmic beats of techno music. Justin's Honda Civic hatchback was a particular source of pride, symbolizing his love for life's simple pleasures.
Justin found his calling in the culinary world, earning his food handler's permit and working in various restaurants in and around Bixby. While at Cedar Ridge, he took pride in his role as "Grill Master," grilling with precision and dedication.
Those who knew Justin remember him as kind, thoughtful, and a funny soul with a heart full of goodness. His gentle nature and warm smile left a lasting impression on those he met.
Justin later moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where he spent his final years. He passed away on August 18, 2024, at the age of 40. His passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew him, but his memory will remain a quiet comfort to his loved ones.
Justin was preceded in death by: his paternal grandfather, Harold Samuels; his maternal grandfather, Carroll Henderson; and by his cousin, Zachary Olson.
He is survived by: his dad, Terry Samuels; his mother, Vicki Lowe, and her husband, Curtis; his sister, Jessica Gibson, and her husband, Jon; and his nieces, Cora and Magnolia Gibson. He is also survived by: his paternal grandmother, Sandy Samuels; his maternal grandmother, Patsy Henderson; by his aunt, Diana Olson and her husband, Mickey; by his uncle, Keith Henderson along with other family members who will hold his memory close.
A service to honor Justin will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 5, 2024 in the Rivercrest Chapel. Interment will follow at Bixby Cemetery. Family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
