Judy Coleen Lattie's Obituary
Judy Colleen Lattie, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, December 11, 2024, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, at the age of 84. Born on December 9, 1940, in Enid, Oklahoma, Judy was the cherished daughter of James and Velma O'Byrne.
Judy grew up in Tulsa, where she completed her schooling and formed lifelong connections. It was there that she met Jimmy Lattie, a young man from Coweta who would become the love of her life. They married and together built a beautiful life in Glenpool, raising four children: Dianna Lynn, Karen Sue, Jimmy Dale, and Sherry Jean.
Judy had a long career that reflected her dedication and kindness. She worked for many years at Broken Arrow Nursing Home as a cook and caregiver, bringing comfort and nourishment to many. Later, she served as an office manager at Superior for over 20 years, demonstrating her strong work ethic and dependability.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Judy treasured family memories made while camping at Oologah Lake, Grand Lake, and campgrounds throughout Osage County. She had a sweet and funny personality that made her a joy to be around, and her love for music-especially the Everly Brothers and Queen-brought her much happiness.
Judy's life was marked by love, laughter, and resilience. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jimmy, and her daughter, Karen Sue, but her memory will be carried forward by her surviving children, Dianna, Jimmy Dale, and Sherry, as well as her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family.
A special acknowledgment is extended to Dillonn Lattie for his unwavering care and compassion during Judy's extended illness, a testament to the deep bonds of love within her family.
A funeral ceremony honoring Judy's life will be held at 2 PM on Friday, December 20, 2024, in the Rivercrest Chapel. Viewing will take place from 12-2 PM, also in the chapel, followed by interment in the Bixby Cemetery.
Judy Colleen Lattie will be remembered for her sweet spirit, sense of humor, and the countless ways she enriched the lives of those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever be cherished by her family and friends.
