Judith Dianne "Judy" Davis' Obituary
Judith Dianne "Judy" Davis
May 5, 1948 - February 26, 2025
With a kind and selfless spirit, Judith Dianne "Judy" Davis lived a life devoted to family, love, and unwavering support for those she cherished. Born on May 5, 1948, in Illinois, she was the middle child of Marvin and Norma Jeanne (Reed) Custer-a role she always considered a tricky spot to be in. (We are certain her siblings felt the same in their respective spots). Judy grew up in Hoopeston, where she cheered proudly for the Cornjerkers.
Fate intervened one Saturday night at a sock hop when, as a young freshman, she met a boy from rival Milford-Roger Davis. That night marked the beginning of a lifelong love story. They married young, and Roger joined the Army to serve his country. Judy dedicated herself to creating a loving home for their daughters, Trish and Tami. She was the heart of their world, always involved in their activities, cheering them on at every turn-a role she later embraced even more joyfully as a grandma.
As her daughters grew, Judy found fulfillment working outside the home, serving as a school secretary, a bank teller, and later, with United Health Care, where she helped seniors navigate their benefits with compassion and care. Her love for family remained her greatest passion, and in more recent years, her beloved morkie pup, Manny, became her constant companion.
Though she never lost her Midwestern roots, Judy and Roger built their life in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, in the early 1970s, where Roger found success as a homebuilder. Judy, with her gentle nature and giving heart, made their house a home filled with warmth and love.
Even as she bravely faced Alzheimer's in her final years, Judy never lost her deep concern for others. She was a caregiver at heart, always putting the needs of those she loved before her own. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to family will be dearly missed but forever remembered.
Judy passed peacefully on February 26, 2025, at the age of 76. She is reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Roger; her parents; and her sister, Marva Webb, and her husband, Jim.
She leaves behind a loving family who will carry her memory in their hearts: daughters, Trish Waller and husband, John, and Tami Johnson and husband, Justin; grandchildren, Justin and Jordan Waller and Davis and Addi Johnson; great-grandson, Banks; her brother, Terry Custer, and his wife, Cindy; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Judy's love, laughter, and gentle spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Bixby South Tulsa Funeral Service & Crematory
