Joyce Ramona Lovitt's Obituary
Joyce Ramona Lovitt, 89, passed away peacefully Monday, September 22, 2025, at Saint Francis Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born September 27, 1935, in Leonard, Oklahoma, Joyce was the daughter of Lawrence David and Ila Arlene (Mooney) Ethridge. She spent the majority of her childhood in Leonard and graduated from Bixby High School in 1953.
In 1955, Joyce married the love of her life, Arlo Lovitt, and together they built a life filled with family, faith, and love. Joyce will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her love of gardening, and the beauty she found and shared in flowers. She was a longtime member of the Bixby Garden Club and an active member of Bixby Methodist Church. Her green thumb and kind heart left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Joyce is survived by her children, Debrorah and husband Duwayne Perry, and Dave Lovitt and wife Beth; grandchildren Bobby Perry and Amanda Fisher, John Lovitt, Sandra Roberts and husband Derek, Sam Lovitt and wife Ashley, Dylan Lovitt, and Ted Sutaphong and wife, Gabrielle; great-grandchildren Elllie, Kaylynn, Trinity, Gabe, Randon, Kierstin, Daniel, Lilith, Mina, and Gus; great-great grandson, Atlas; and her sister, Donna Wagnon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence David and Ila Arlene Ethridge; her devoted husband, Arlo Lovitt; her sisters, Mary Dell and Jean Johnson; and her brothers, Lyndal Ethridge and L.D. Ethridge.
Her family and friends will cherish the many memories of time spent together and the joy she brought into their lives. Joyce's legacy of love and care will continue to bloom in the hearts of those who knew her.
Service Information
Visitation: Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Parlor Room of the funeral home
Funeral Service: Friday, September 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Rivercrest Chapel
Interment: Bixby Cemetery, immediately following the service
