Cuando estaba en la high con tu hermana me acuerdo que tú siempre tenías una sonrisa en tu rostro. Mi hermana Maresa que estudio contigo, me dice que te llamaban Papito y que compartiste mucho con tus compañeros y que siempre fuiste un buen muchacho alegre y dispuesto a ayudar. Yo rezaré por tu familia para que Dios los llene de fortaleza, paz, amor y bendiciones.
My brother and best friend known as Papito. In the house no one called him Jose. He was “my papito”. His pasión was the motorcycle ride, good cigar, sport cars and a place to find him was either playing his congas or La Playa. He was more than my brother. He was like a dad and good friend. He was a men who lives the Lord and familia. Even his friends can become his family. We did so many “travesuras”. He walked me by the aisle and was by my side during cancer. Today, I am a coward because cannot confront the reality of his death. It feels like my heart has been torn in pieces but with a huge hope. Hope to see Papito again. It is my faith in Christ. I will never forget you, Jose Canales! You were an answer to prayer when I asked God for a friend at a difficult time in my life. Getting to know you was a blast, especially listening to your amazing laugh & fantastic sense of humor. Gosh, I never dreamed when you pulled out of my driveway just a few short weeks ago, that we were having our last hug, handshake & prayer together. Thank you for being such an amazing friend to me, I am truly grateful to you and will forever cherish all our times together. Heartfelt prayers & condolences to Yami, Yvanna, family & friends.
