Johnny Allen Nation's Obituary
Johnny Nation Obituary
Born June 13, 1941 in Wilburton, Oklahoma, Johnny Allen Nation was the son of Samuel and Dorothy (Pate) Nation. Growing up in Wilburton and later in Santa Ana, California, Johnny's dad worked as a pipefitter. Following in his father's footsteps, Johnny too would find employment as a pipefitter. This occupation led him to several states, but it would be while working in Bullhead City, Arizona that he met and soon thereafter married Kathy Timmons - after just six short weeks of knowing one another. This young couple would live in Arizona, Texas, Utah and California before settling in the Bixby, Oklahoma area where they had an acreage and enjoyed caring for their horses. In addition to tending to his horses, Johnny enjoyed hiking, traveling, refinishing antiques and doing leatherwork. As Johnny battled Alzheimer's over the past several years, Kathy has demonstrated her true love and devotion to Johnny. It is with sadness that the family will now be adjusting to a world without Johnny as a part of it, but it is with joy that they know he will now be joining his daughter, Johnene and granddaughter, Shaylyne.Johnny passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018 in Catoosa. He was 77.He leaves to carry his memory a host of family and friends including: his beloved wife of 47 years, Kathy Nation; children: son, Roger Nation; daughter, Brittany Nation; daughter, Shanna Anderson; grandchildren: Jesse Nation, Kolton Nation, Tyler Nation, Jaci Nation, Kenzi Nation, Meghan Anderson, Christopher Anderson; great-grandson, Camden John Degginger and a sister, Millie Ramsey. He was preceded in death by: his parents: Sam and Dorothy Nation; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Owen and Geneva Timmons; infant daughter, Johnene Nicole Nation and a granddaughter, Shaylyne Nation.Service RiverCrest Chapel 13329 S.
