Johnnie Hinnant Obituary
Ms. Johnnie Ruth Hinnant1923 - 2023"She longest lives, who most to others gives, herself forgetting."Born June 10, 1923, in Mineral, Texas, Johnnie was one of seven children born to John and Margaret (George) Clark. Following her high school graduation, Johnnie would find employment in Corpus Christi where she met Marion W. Hinnant. The two married and later welcomed two children: daughter, Roslynn and son, David.Tulsa became home to the Hinnant's around 1950 where Johnnie served as a homemaker. Following Marion's passing in 1973, Johnnie remained unmarried and filled her time managing an apartment complex and gaining certifications and licenses. She was able to attain both her real estate license and a certification in extermination. She also enjoyed bowling through the years (even into her eighties). There wasn't much this woman could not do!Johnnie was able to maintain a balance of no nonsense, yet she was kind, fair, understanding, compassionate and unselfish. She had a great sense of humor, and, at the same time, she was not afraid to let you know what she was thinking! This pretty lady was a great mother and friend. She loved life and enjoyed being around people. There is no doubt she will be dearly missed by her children and friends.Johnnie Ruth Hinnant, 99, a long-time Tulsa resident passed from this life on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at her residence. Private family services are being planned. "We can be sad that we lost someone we adored, and who we will miss every day - but we can also be grateful for the time we did have with her - and for the impact she had on our lives."We love you Mom..
