John Sanders Obituary
John Thomas Sanders (Tom) was born October 31, 1934, to J.T. and Anna Sanders in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He attended public schools in Ponca City and graduated from Ponca City High School in May of 1952. He earned a Bachelor's degree in music from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1957 and married Jacqueline Hultsman on December 21, 1957.
He joined the U.S. Army and served 3 years in Germany. After returning home, he then entered the University of Arkansas School of Pharmacy and became a registered pharmacist in December of 1969.
Tom and Jacque had two children, Jay in 1964, and Vicki in 1966. He is survived by Jay and Cathy and their three children, Jack, Ione and Anna, as well as Stephen and Vicki and their three sons, Tristan, his wife, Hayley, their three children, Siena, Riley and Eloise, Addison, his wife, Dani, and Avery.
Tom passed peacefully at Clarehouse in Tulsa, Oklahoma on October 21, 2023. A memorial service will be held at South Tulsa Baptist Church November 2, 2023, at 11:00 AM. Donations in honor of Tom can be made to Clarehouse of Tulsa.
