This is Tracey Skocdopole Downing and Brent Skocdopole. We loved John and Deanna, and consider Vickie Roth and Garret Roth good friends since 2004. I wish we could attend, on Friday, but have to work. Our hearts and prayers are with your family. We know we will see our friends in heaven when God calls us home. It is comforting to know that. I have many fond memories of them. It was really fun the one time we celebrated all the August babies by taking out a limo and doing a bit of bar hopping. John and Deanna were so much fun, and full of life. It was fun when we would all get on the dance floor and shake our tail feathers. They were always smiling and loving, and will be missed.
I didn't know John. In fact I just had one chance meeting with him in the halls of Covenant Living.I was walking down the hall with my friend to see her new home. As we walked down the hall John and his dog were going into his apartment. We all said hi and then walked on. Before we made it to the end of the hall here comes John with a box of donuts, he wanted to share with us. He insisted we take as many as we like. How could we refuse such a kind gesture not to mention a tasty treat. After that brief encounter with John I was sure with the Lord's help my friend was in a friendly caring place.John touched my life in that brief moment. I'm sure that was an indication of the man he was. My prayers are with all the people that loved and cared for him.
