Jessie Wayne Morse's Obituary
Jessie Wayne Morse, 75, of Sapulpa, passed away on December 22, 2025, in Tulsa.
Wayne was born on October 5, 1950, in Tulsa to Bill and Lovenia (Henson) Morse. He graduated from Central High School with the Class of 1969, where he first discovered his passion for welding. This early interest blossomed into a lifelong career as he worked as a skilled welder for several companies throughout the Tulsa area. His dedication to his craft led him to study in Texas to become a welding engineer, a testament to his commitment to excellence in his profession.
On September 19, 1997, Wayne married Helen in Tulsa, beginning a partnership filled with shared adventures and cherished memories.
Wayne's love for the outdoors was evident in his passion for fishing wherever they would bite, with catfishing on Lake Okmulgee among his favorite pursuits. He was an avid camper who owned many fifth wheels and motor homes through the years, spending countless nights under the stars. His travels took him across the country, including visits to see his son, Scott, during his time in the Army. Among all his destinations, Branson held a special place in his heart, and he absolutely loved Silver Dollar City. Wayne and Helen also shared a love for square dancing and treasured their time and involvement with a square dancing club in Muskogee.
Above all, Wayne cherished his role as "PaPa"-a title that filled him with immense pride. He adored his sixteen grandchildren and delighted in every moment spent with them.
Wayne is survived by his beloved wife, Helen; his five children, Tammy Guerra and her husband, Jose, Michael Wayne Morse, Kimberly Ann Morse, Ana Michelle Richardson and her husband, Dewey, and Scott Anthony Martin Sr. and his wife, Kelly; sixteen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Billy and Judy.
Wayne's warmth, dedication to his family, and passion for life will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
