Jermaine Bingham's Obituary
Jermaine Bingham was born on February 4, 1973, in East St. Louis, Illinois, to Selena Bingham. Jermaine was a strong and vibrant soul who lived his life with purpose. Growing up in Illinois, he met the love of his life, Araba (Brooks). They often joked about the differing versions of how their journey together began, but one thing was certain-they were destined to be together.
Jermaine was a man of many talents, holding various trade school certificates. He was known for his love of building and tinkering, always using his hands to create and fix things. More importantly, he was known for his unwavering support for Araba, often saying he was "free labor to Araba Bingham" and claiming he had "NO days off." His love for her was evident in the way he showed up every day, always ready to lend a helping hand.
Jermaine expressed his love through teaching and guiding others. He was a kind and giving man who believed in lifting people up and seeing them succeed. He turned his own trials and tribulations into powerful life lessons, ensuring that those around him could avoid the same challenges. If he learned it, he was sure to teach it! Jermaine was a mentor to many, always ready to share wisdom and offer encouragement.
In search of new beginnings and to be closer to family, Jermaine, Araba, and their loved ones relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jermaine found his calling on the open road as a commercial long-haul truck driver for Saia Motor Freight. He took pride in his work, and his strong work ethic was admired by all who knew him.
On August 27, 2024, Jermaine departed this life at the age of 51. His spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving mother, Selena Pitmon, and her husband, Richard; his devoted wife, Araba (Brooks) Bingham; his children, Kevin Griffin, Lavonda Bingham, Kaila Davis, Jordan Davis, Sidney Bingham, and Joshua Bingham; his siblings, Dematria, Alicia, Marlon, and Nathaniel. Jermaine is also survived by his four beloved grandchildren, as well as a host of extended family and friends who will forever hold him dear.
Jermaine's legacy is one of love, strength, and perseverance. His light continues to shine through those who loved him, and his memory will be cherished forever.
