Jeremy Shane Martin's Obituary
March 3, 1976 - November 7, 2025
Jeremy Shane Martin was born on March 3, 1976, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Jerry and Marcia (Hamil) Martin. He passed from this life on November 7, 2025, at the age of 49.
Leonard and Bixby, Oklahoma, were always "home base" for Jeremy. He attended Bixby Schools, where he built lifelong friendships and played basketball. It was also where he found the love of his life, Linda Bynum.
Together, they shared more than 30 wonderful years of laughter, love, and family.
Jeremy began his career as a framer, taking great pride in his craftsmanship. Few things meant more to him than a job done right- except, of course, his family and, perhaps even more so, his motorcycles.
He had a soft spot for animals and was once the proud owner of a 120-pound pig named Penelope, along with several pit bulls he adored. Jeremy also loved fishing and relaxing on the beach-especially at his favorite spot in Destin, Florida. More than anything, he cherished being a devoted father and grandfather.
Through coaching and friendship, he "adopted" many bonus kids along the way, always taking others under his wing and making them feel like family.
Loud, stubborn, compassionate, loving, funny, and truly one-of-a-kind- Jeremy was all of these and more. Known affectionately as "Bullfrog," he greeted almost everyone with his signature "Dude." He believed in the healing power of "tattoo therapy" and had the ink to prove it.
In recent months, Jeremy was especially happy to have returned to his family land-"the farm," as he called it -where he found peace, purpose, and the comfort of home. One of his proudest memories was checking off a bucket list trip to Sturgis with his dad.
Jeremy was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Cassi Sanford.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; children, Carissa Bynum, Haley Martin, Riley Martin, and J.D. Martin; grandchildren, Corben, Carter, and Chet McLearan; and his sister, Kelli Martin.
Jeremy's big heart, contagious laugh, and unwavering loyalty will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
