Jack McConnell Matlock's Obituary
Jack McConnell Matlock, born on May 8, 1944, in Ramona,Oklahoma, moved to Grove few weeks later to William "Bill" Basil Matlock and Margriet Belle(Sawvel) Matlock, passed away on May 30, 2024 at the age of 80.
A devoted workaholic, Jack never shied away from hard work and always had a job. His industrious nature saw him through various roles, including working as a farmer throughout his life. Jack also contributed to Pepsi Cola, Tulsa Offset, and several sod companies. His dedication extended beyond his civilian life as he also served honorably in the Army National Guard.
Jack's passions included farming and fishing, which he enjoyed deeply and shared with his loved ones.
He is survived by his siblings: Hazel Pitcock, Elaine Williams, Janette Matlock Raver, Mike Matlock, and John Matlock. Jack also leaves behind his children: Robert Wayne Matlock, Jackie Cheryl Matlock, and Brenda Carol Matlock. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Tony Matlock, Travis Matlock, Michael Fritz, Tiffany Schutts, Christopher Wilson, and Brandi Wilson, and his great-grandchildren: Sebastian Wilson, Dexter Glasco, Karma Blackston, Kingdom Wilson, OakLee Blackston, Thomas Petrone, and Magnolia Petrone.
Jack was preceded in death by his grandson, Michael Lee Wilson, Jr.; great-granddaughter, Annabel Petrone; his beloved wife, Carolyn Faye Matlock; and five siblings, Betty Jo Matlock, Zoneta Lee Matlock, James Basil (Jim) Matlock,Clara Louise Matlock- Lewis, Hondeana Matlock Hawkins and, Connie Jeanene Matlock Helm.
Jack McConnell Matlock's life was a testament to hard work, dedication, and love for family. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved him.
