Howard Carr Frank, a pillar of strength, generosity, and humble leadership, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2024, at Montereau in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was 86 years old.
Born in Poteau, Oklahoma, on March 21, 1938, to Vivian and Gattie Frank, Howard's early years were marked by resilience and determination. He began his education in Wichita, Kansas, before returning to Poteau, where he graduated from Poteau High School. His tenure with Cities Service Oil Company (later Occidental Petroleum Company) showcased his leadership prowess and financial acumen. Rising through the ranks, Howard's contributions were recognized with the Executive Award from Harvard University's Graduate School of Business Administration in 1972.
Beyond his professional achievements, Howard was deeply committed to his community. Whether serving as a Mason, leading Junior Achievement programs, or supporting cancer research through the American Cancer Society, Howard's impact was far-reaching and enduring.
