Jake was just a little fellow when he suddenly lost his 2 dog companions, Andy and Beau. Left heartbroken he called me asking for me to give him a 1 year old puppy named Ziggy. He and parents made a trip to Louisiana to pick up his new buddy. Of course Harlan and Betty were thrown in the mix, when they would become ziggy’s babysitter and of course Harlan and Betty became truly fond of Ziggy and became official dog sitter. While I was visiting the family in Tulsa, Harlan sitting in his easy chair said we needed to talk. Of course me all ears sat with Betty and Harlan to hear what they had to share.Immediately they let me know how attached they had become of Ziggy and wanted to know if I had another pup like Ziggy to give them. At the moment I had to say NO. Harlan’s face dropped as if he were a child heartbroken. The odds were slim that I would have another dog or puppy as sweet as Ziggy to give Harlan and Betty. 3 years later an opportunity came for me to have a 10 yr. old dog named Missy As sweet as Ziggy. I made a call to Kathy to see if her parents still wanted a dog. They weren’t sure this day would come but definitely wanted her. Both parents were immediately in love with her. Although both loved Missy, Harlan would let me know Missy was his lap companion and walking buddy. He adored Missy and Missy adored him. Harlan let me know how much he appreciated me giving him Missy. I was so Happy to be able to add joy in Harlan and Betty’s life by giving them a wonderful gift to love for many years.
