Geraldine Robinson's Obituary
Geraldine "Jerri Ann" Robinson, 80, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026, at her Tulsa residence. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose warmth, faith, and generous spirit touched everyone she knew.
Jerri Ann was born on September 19, 1945, in Lamar, Missouri, the daughter of George C. and Louise (Pauk) Meese. The family relocated to Joplin, Missouri, when she was young, and it was there she grew up and graduated from high school - a chapter of her life she cherished deeply. She remained actively involved with her classmates for decades, organizing reunions and gatherings that kept those friendships alive through the years. During her high school years she also participated in synchronized swimming.
Following high school, Jerri Ann completed beauty college. While she never practiced professionally, she was always glad to pick up the scissors for a friend or family member in need. It was in Joplin that she met the love of her life, Ned Robinson, and the two were united in marriage on April 22, 1967. The couple moved to Tulsa in April 1968, where they were active members of Highland Park Christian Church and later Memorial Park Christian Church, where Ned faithfully served as both Elder and Deacon. In 1979, the family settled in Bixby, where they became active members of Riverview Baptist Church, building their home and raising their two children.
Jerri Ann spoke often of Brandi and Scott, and the pride and love she held for them knew no bounds. After the passing of her beloved husband, Ned, in 1984, she faced the years ahead as a single mother with quiet strength and unwavering faith. Jerri Ann had tremendous support from family and friends during this time. She raised her children in the church and remained a devoted woman of faith throughout her life, most recently attending Asbury Church in Tulsa.
In the years following Ned's death, Jerri Ann found community and purpose through widow and widower support groups, including the Young Widowed Persons Service held at the Hardesty Library in Tulsa. She also found lasting fellowship through Tulsa Christian Singles.
A funeral ceremony honoring Jerri Ann will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 21, 2026, in the Rivercrest Chapel, followed by a reception in the Great Room. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Jerri Ann will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Ned, in the Bixby Cemetery.
Jerri Ann is survived by her daughter, Brandi Pond, and son-in-law Steve Pond; her son, Scott Robinson; grandchildren Nick Pond, Rebecca White, Tyler Pond, Bella Burd and husband Jantzen, and Gabby King; and great-grandchildren Lindy, Jagger, Sunny, Oliver, and Olivia.
Jerri Ann "Mee Mee" cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren above all else, filling their lives with a love that will be forever treasured.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ned Robinson; her parents, George C. and Louise Meese; and her siblings, Jacqueline Sumners and George Clifford Meese, Jr.
