Gerald Eugene Stutsman passed away Friday, October 14, 2022 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He was 74 years old. Burial will be at Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
Born April 6,1948 in Tulsa, Jerry was the son of Anna Mae (DuVal) and Standlee Stutsman. A lifelong Tulsan, he graduated from Central High School in 1966. After graduaton he joined the US Navy and served his tour in the Philippines. Upon his return he became a draftsman.
Jerry could talk your leg off about baseball, hockey, genealogy, and his kids. He spent many summers as a baseball umpire at parks throughout Tulsa until Parkinson’s Disease slowed him down. He loved old movies and “Dad” jokes.
Surviving family members include his wife, Mary, daughter, Leslie and sons Steve (Sonja), , Greg, Jeff (Becky) and Scott (Catie), brother Ron (Barbara) and sister, Sharon Igo. Jerry was blessed with nine grandchildren, Alex Crawford, Abby Stutsman, Sophia McGoff, Christian Schmidt, Hannah Stutsman, Kelli Stutsman, Cavan Stutsman, Mila Stutsman and Thomas Cox and great grandson, Oliver Crawford. He will be missed by all.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, October 21st at 6:00 at the family home.
