I enjoyed Uncle Floyd as a child, but really came to know him after I was an adult. When I lived in Texas, he and Aunt Marjie visited frequently, When I visited him in Oklahoma, I was impressed with how well-respected he was by his neighbors and church friends. Everyone knew his funny side, but he also had a very serious side and lived his life with integrity.
I remember enjoying spending time with Uncle Floyd, Aunt Margie, and Susan on summer vacation in Harriman, TN. Uncle Floyd and Uncle Gene were always good for a funny story about growing up.
