My friendship with Faith goes back about 36 years. My husband, Chip & I were the Singles Pastors at Grace Fellowship Church and Faith was a single mom of two teenage boys. My first recollection of getting to know her was when she and her boys, Michael & Sam, went on a ski trip with us. At that time, Faith was working for a Law firm in the Tulsa area and raising her boys in a God-honoring home. I remember us praying with her as her boys became men and left home to pursue God's calling on their lives. Michael moved to Florida and worked as an electrician (as I recall) and later answered the Lord's call to ministry. Sam went to West Point and and later became an attorney. I know they are both wonderful dads and have made their mother proud. I have often said of Faith that I admired how well she raised her sons as a single mom. I remember when Faith met and subsequently married James! I believe a little bird named Jan J. had something to do with getting that romance "rolling"! We were all happy for both of them. :) Faith came to work at Grace Church and became Pastor Bob & Chip's assistant and she served them well for a number of years. Chip's favorite nickname for her was "Faithful". I can still hear him calling her by that name as he walked our of his office. There was a period of time that my desk was opposite hers and through those times, we shared a lot of memories: children, grandchildren, bike-riding, walking, happy times & difficult times, etc. Faith was a precious sister-in-the Lord and I know she will be greatly missed by family & friends, but I know she is rejoicing to be with Jesus! Hallelujah!!
