Evelyn Arlene Marshall's Obituary
Evelyn Arlene Marshall, age 72, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, January 24, 2026, at her home in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
Evelyn was born on September 8, 1953, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Malcolm and Wilma Richie (Cook) Pendry. She attended Clinton Junior High School and Webster High School, where she formed friendships and memories that would last a lifetime.
Throughout her life, Evelyn wore many hats and worked hard to provide for her family. She was a licensed beautician and later worked as a delivery driver for O'Reilly Auto Parts, NAPA Auto Parts, and Advance Auto Parts. Above all else, Evelyn devoted herself to raising her children-her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment.
Evelyn was an amazing mother: loving, attentive, and always making sure her children had what they needed. Her home was filled with care, warmth, and the reassurance that she was always there. She found happiness in the simple pleasures of life-playing bingo, visiting the casino, and enjoying spirited games of wahoo. Her favorite color was purple, and her music taste spanned from classic country to Motown, often setting the soundtrack to family gatherings.
She is survived by her six children: Lewis Hemmert, Michael Hemmert, Stacy Hemmert, Jeana Hemmert, Christian Hemmert, and James Hemmert; her grandchildren: Eddy Hemmert, Jerry Hemmert, Brandon Trammell, Corey Hemmert, Ericka Colson, Dakota Hemmert, Presley Hemmert, Kaitlyn Hemmert, and Maygon Hemmert; and sixteen great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense pride and joy.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and her three sisters, May, Thelma Jean, and Margie.
A funeral service celebrating Evelyn's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Clear View Church in Claremore, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Evelyn will be remembered for her loving heart, unwavering devotion to her family, and the many lives she touched simply by being herself.
