Elinor was a grand lady! We traveled many a mile together in the PCA, at Fleet Feet, scouring garage sales, thru Words with Friends. My heart is broken for your sweet family. I know how mighty her love was for you all; may that sustain you in the days to come. Bountiful blessings, prayers and heartfelt love.
Elinor was such a lovely, lovely woman. I'm so grateful the family (and the PCA family) have so many wonderful memories with her. It will give us so many happy times to remember going forward. I also understand them wanting to lay her to rest in private
Elinor always made the Porsche group feel welcome at the events Randy and she held. At times, Randy would forget to give her some important details and Elinor would, angelic like, just do what needed to be done to make the event successful and all of us feel welcome. I could feel her love for Randy and her desire to make the event successful for him and us. What an example for us to emulate!!! I loved her attitude and approach and hope I can adopt them. All of us appreciated her organizational skills and beautiful decorations. What an angel, fantastic hostess and special down -to-earth person Elinor was. We all have been blessed to have been associated with her. Special memories of Elinor will be with us and we will miss her. Georgia Paul’s reflections
Elinor was a gentle and genuine woman. She was a role model for all of us: friend, wife, mom and grandmother. With a smile on her face, she was an eager participant and supporter no matter the activity. Her passing leaves a void in everyone’s life who knew her. Our wish, as she is now watching over us, is that we become better people while showing the kindness, concern and involvement she portrayed. We are thinking of your beautiful family and the great loss you have experienced. We hope you feel comfortable contacting us for any reason. We love you guys.
Elinor was so generous with her time and talent. She was such a help with the church summer outings for the 4th through 6th grade students and with the activities of the UMW. Of course my favorite memories are at DLC, where I got to know her wonderful daughters (and grandchildren) better. My prayers for the family.
What a blessing to have been a part of this beautiful woman’s life for so many years, so many memories of us sharing amusing family stories while I was doing her hair, she will be missed….
My very first Porsche event was at Waterfront and we sat across from Randy, Elinor, Jared and Ann. The first thing I noticed was Elinor’s kind eyes. She had such a welcoming demeanor. I met a lot of people that day, but the Kaplin’s stood out. Elinor was such a gracious host to many events and always outdid herself. She will be sorely missed by all that knew her. Sending my love to your sweet family.
Elinor and many others all went to high school together. She was always friendly and had an amazing sense of humor. I pray for you all to have peace in your lives and a good relationship with God. She did and I'm sure she wants that for you.
