Grandpa was so fun. My favorite memories of him are the times where he would bet me a quarter to get me to eat a spoonful of horseradish. No matter how hot, I’d be up for the challenge to try and collect as many quarters as I could! I also LOVED the breakfasts that he cooked. There was no better breakfast than the ones at Gma and Gpa’s house. The sourdough waffle squares coupled with blueberries and whipped cream were the best. I remember how he used to tear the corners off of the waffles and throw them to the cat to catch in the air and gobble up. So fun. Gpa was the best. He and I had a special bond. He called me “The Brat.” I have no idea why. 🤔😉 He is dearly missed. ❤️
