Dwight LaRoy Williams' Obituary
Dwight Williams, born December 4, 1951, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his farm, surrounded by the people he loved most. He lived a life defined by hard work, strong faith, and deep love for his family.
Dwight began his career in broadcasting, working as an on-air radio personality in Tulsa during the golden era of local radio. Known on the air as Jon Michaels, he worked at KELi Radio in Tulsa before continuing his broadcasting career in Oklahoma City at radio station KZUE, sharing his voice and love of music with listeners across Oklahoma. His voice once filled Oklahoma's airwaves, but his greatest calling was sharing his faith and love with others.
Following his time in radio, Dwight built a successful career with Pizza Hut, serving as an Area Supervisor, where he oversaw multiple locations and became known for his leadership, work ethic, and ability to connect with people. After his years with Pizza Hut, Dwight continued his career with Walmart, where he served as a manager for many years, earning the respect of coworkers and customers through his dedication, leadership, and commitment to hard work.
Above all, Dwight's life was grounded in his love for Jesus Christ. His faith guided the way he lived and the way he cared for others. He participated in numerous mission trips over the years, faithfully serving wherever he was called. Dwight had a heart for sharing the Gospel and was passionate about leading others to faith, helping many people come to know Jesus through his witness, encouragement, and example.
Dwight was preceded in death by his father, Donald Williams; his mother, Reon Williams; and his brother, Ronald Williams.
He is survived by his former spouse and lifelong friend, Teri Williams, with whom he shared the blessing of raising their children together and maintaining a lasting friendship built on mutual respect and care for their family.
He is also survived by his brother, Mark Williams, and sister, Evelyn Patton.
Dwight was a devoted father and grandfather whose greatest joy came from his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Amber Anderson (Blair), Jonathan Williams, Whitney Saladin, and Matthew Williams (Ashley).
He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Reese Strickland, Jasmine Phillips, Izzy Phillips, Nasir Nelson, Hailey Williams, Ryan Williams, Emily Williams, Taylin Williams, Jace Anderson, and Tyler Anderson, and his beloved great-grandchildren, Lincoln Payne and Leighton Payne, along with many extended family members and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Dwight will be remembered for his strength, his servant's heart, and his unwavering faith. Passing at his farm reflected the simple and meaningful life he valued - close to his family and the Lord he loved.
