Doyle Morris Davis, born on February 1, 1944, in Porum, Oklahoma, peacefully departed from this world on March 8, 2024. He was the beloved son of Harold Raymond Davis and Ruby Gertrude (Howard) Davis. Born in Porum, Oklahoma, Doyle attended a one-room school before moving to McFarland, CA for a few years. His family eventually settled in Snake Creek during his teen years, and he attended school in Bixby. Doyle went on to own a successful roofing company for over 25 years and later purchased Bixby Muffler, which he ran for five years before passing it on to his brother, Edward.In the mid to late 90s, Doyle briefly worked for a bail bondsman before starting his own venture, Doyle Davis Bail Bonds, which continues to operate to this day. Passionate about cars, he was an active member of the "Car Guys" group and had an impressive collection of old hot rods. His interest for drag racing, and love of attending Jack Davis's, drift car racing showcased his unwavering enthusiasm for the automotive world. Doyle met the love of his life, Jo, at Phyllis and Loretta's graduation party in Bixby. Their love story began in May of 1962, and they sealed their commitment in marriage on July 20, 1963, at Rev. Steven's house in Tulsa. Doyle was a family man through and through, finding joy in spending time with friends and relatives. His close bond with his siblings was a testament to the importance of family in his life.Witty, stubborn, generous, loyal, funny, devoted, ambitious, hardworking, and protective, Doyle was a proud father who believed in second chances. His legacy will be remembered through the countless lives he touched with his kindness and love. Doyle Davis will be deeply missed, but his spirit and memories will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.He was preceded in death by his brother David Davis and his parents. Doyle is survived by his loving wife Jo and their four children - Jeffrey Doyle Davis, Gregory Donahue Davis, Chad Ashley Davis, and Lacey Danielle Davis.Doyle was a cherished grandfather to Jack Hampton Davis, Taylor Ashley Davis, Brayden Ashley Davis, April Renee Davis, Sebastian Davis, Zachary Davis, and numerous great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Don Davis, Sue Baker and husband Bill, Gary Davis and wife Brenda, Mark Davis, Edward Davis, Brent Davis and wife Julie, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.The memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, March 15, 2024, at Riverview Baptist Church. Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating the life of a remarkable man who left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him.
