Dorothy E Morgenthaler's Obituary
Dorothy E. Morgenthaler was born on July 9, 1935, in Queens, New York, to Albert and Isabel (Underwood) Nutter. She grew up between New York, Pennsylvania, and Maine, alongside her siblings, Ruth and Albert "Bruddy." A graduate of Hicksville High School in New York, Dorothy's early years shaped a strong, creative, and faith-filled woman who would go on to touch many lives with her warmth and dedication.
On October 12, 1957, she married the love of her life, Raymond Morgenthaler. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and community, raising three beloved children: John, Mary, and Bob. Dorothy was a devoted and involved mother-serving as a scout leader, band mom, and ever-present cheerleader at her children's events.
Her faith was a cornerstone of her life. Dorothy was an active member in every church she attended, faithfully participating in prayer groups and lending her heart and time to a special needs ministry that held deep meaning for her.
Dorothy was also a talented painter, and many of her cherished works adorn the homes of her family and friends-a lasting testament to her creativity and love.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond; and her siblings, Ruth and Bruddy. She is survived by her three children: John Morgenthaler and his wife, Debbi; Mary Bagby and her husband, Jonathan; and Bob Morgenthaler and his wife, Christine. She also leaves behind four grandchildren: Johnn Morgenthaler and his wife, Claudia; Jennifer Morgenthaler and her husband, Wian Oosthuizen; Victoria Morgenthaler; and Alyssa Lin and her husband, Jesse; along with four great-grandchildren: Gabriella, Xavier, Zane, and Melody. Dorothy is also remembered fondly by many other relatives and dear friends.
