Dorothy Jo King of Bixby, Oklahoma, passed away at her home on May 8, 2019, at the age of 90. She was born on March 7, 1929 in Vinita, Oklahoma to Cecil and Ruby Asbury. Dorothy married the love of her life Lee Roy King in 1953. They enjoyed 33 years together before his passing and had four children. She was a loving mother and homemaker who enjoyed shopping, spending time with her family, and walking her dogs. Dorothy volunteered for Meals on Wheels, the Gateway Foundation, and with the Tulsa County Elections Board. She enjoyed helping others and continued to volunteer well into her 80s. She is preceded in death by her parents, her late husband Lee Roy King, sister Phyllis Rose and husband Al Rose, sister Mary Allen, brother Gene Asbury, and nephews Allen Lawson, and Monte Lawson. She is survived by her sister Billie Patterson and husband Harry Patterson of Casper, WY, brother-in-law Don Allen of Little Rock, AR and her four children, Laura and Richard Bewley of Berryhill, Okla., Jim King of Monkey Island, Okla., Barbara King and Larry Vigus of Anna, Texas, and Diana and Jeff Boules of Colleyville Texas. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Danielle King, Madison and Wilson Webb, Miles Bewley, Jacob Boules, Cole Bewley, and Brock Vigus along with many nieces and nephews. A graveside service celebrating her life will be held on Monday, May 13, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Okla.Service Oakwood Cemetery Highway 56 Wewoka, Oklahoma 74884 2:00 PM
