A Catholic Mass celebrating the life of Donna Sue (Hunt) O'Brien will be held at 1:30 PM, Thursday, May 17, 2018 at St. Clement Church in Bixby. The prayer service is at 7:00 PM Wednesday evening at St. Clement. Donna will be laid to rest next to her husband, Les, in Calvary Cemetery, Tulsa. Donna passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018 at the age of 86.Born September 24, 1931 in Tulsa, OK, Donna Sue Hunt was the third of three children born to Ancil and Ella (Carlton) Hunt. She attended Marquette Catholic School where, in her senior year, she was the football queen. Donna caught the attention of rival Holy Family Cathedral's running back Les O'Brien and the two fell in love. Soon after graduation the young couple married on August 27, 1949. Their love for one another continued for 68 years until Les' passing on 4/9/18.Donna and Les welcomed seven children into this world. Donna made it her life's work to care for her husband, children and home. Nothing brought Donna more enjoyment than spending time with her family at big family gatherings. Described as kind, patient and loving, Donna made a huge impact in the life of her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by those left behind to carry on her legacy.She is survived by: her children: Pat O'Brien and wife, Rhonda of Broken Arrow; Rick O'Brien and wife, Vicki of Sand Springs; Bootsey Torchia and husband, Jim of Tulsa; Kay Geer and husband, Mike of Emory, TX and Carlton O'Brien of Tulsa; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and a sister, Shirley Eagan of Bowling Green, KY. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Donna was preceded in death by: her parents; a son, Stan O'Brien; a daughter, JoAnn Elmore; a brother, Carlton Hunt and her husband of 68 years, Leslie "Les" O'Brien.Rosary St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church 15501 S.
