Dixie Ann Stafford passed away on Tuesday morning, August 10 at age 87, her husband and soul mate of 69 years at her side. She was born on December 15, 1933 in a country farmhouse in Broken Arrow, where she grew up and attended Broken Arrow High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Dean, on July 19, 1952, together raising five children. Dixie was an expert homemaker who enjoyed cooking for friends and family. As the wife of a minister, she dedicated many years of service ministering to the needs of congregants.
Dixie was preceded in death by her father, Williard Hayes Tattershall; mother, Gladys Susanne Tattershall; sister, Margie Tattershall, and brothers, Willard, Jim and John Tattershall.
She is survived by her husband, Dean Stafford; daughters, Carolyn Jo Campbell and Louann Bone and sons, Alan, Raymond and Mark Stafford; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-six great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers family ask that memorial contributions be made to Grace Assembly Church, 12222 South 129th East Avenue, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma 74011.
