Diane Marie Varnes' Obituary
Diane Varnes Obituary
Diane Marie Varnes entered Heaven Sunday, September 4, 2022, after a brave struggle with Alzheimer. She lived in Jenks, Ok, attending River Oaks Christian Church, until she moved to Bixby to live with her sister, Linda McClintic and brother-in-law, Victor.
The second of four children, Diane was born April 30, 1942 in Los Angeles, California. She was the daughter of Norman and Svea (Cederborg) Hadley where she was raised and completed her schooling. Before moving to Oklahoma in 1994, Diane worked as a bookkeeper in Palmdale, CA. There she was in a photography class and especially enjoyed photographing nature and spending time with her brother, Mike and his family.
In Oklahoma, Diane enjoyed going to races with her son and having Nascar parties at her home. She loved antiquing, birdwatching, reading, playing Bingo with family and writing poetry. Most of all, Diane enjoyed spending time at home with her dogs, Molly and Hildi. Diane was a loving member of a bible study, where she is truly missed.
Surviving family include her son, Michael Williams of Meridian, Mississippi, siblings: Nancy Long of Nucla, Colorado, Linda and husband, Victor McClintic of Bixby, Oklahoma and Michael Hadley and wife, Anna of Kingman, Arizona, along with many nieces and nephews. We will all miss her!
A Celebration of Life Memorial for Diane will be held Sunday, October 9th, 2022, at noon for family and fiends, at the home of Linda and Vic, 5201 E. 148th St., Bixby.
