Diana Lynn Stanfill's Obituary
A service to honor and remember the life of Diana Lynn (Curl) Stanfill will be Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1701 N. Hickory Ave., Broken Arrow, OK 74012 at 7:00 p.m. Diana passed from this life on August 29, 2025. She was 69.
Born July 20, 1956, in Aurora, Illinois, Diana was the third of Charles and Reta (Dooley) Curl's six children. The Curl family later moved to Vinita, Oklahoma, where Diana attended Bluejacket Schools. During her school years, she participated in basketball and home economics, and, growing up in a rural setting, she and her siblings learned the value of hard work by helping with chores on the family ranch.
After high school, Diana began a career dedicated to helping others. She worked at Eastern State Hospital in Vinita and later at an Air Force base in Florida, serving in security. Inspired to further her education, she earned her nursing degree through Tulsa Community College and went on to serve as an LPN with the Veterans Administration-spending 11 years in Utah and another four years in Tulsa. While nursing provided a livelihood, Diana's true passion was her art.
A naturally gifted and versatile artist, Diana attended Rogers State College to refine her skills and explore new mediums. Over the years, she expressed her creativity in countless ways, including owning and operating her own photography and video production business. Regardless of the medium-painting, drawing, photography, or film-Diana had a unique ability to capture beauty and emotion, earning several awards for her work and the admiration of all who experienced it.
Diana will be remembered as a beautiful, loving, and giving soul. She was deeply caring and family-oriented, yet also valued her privacy and quiet moments of reflection. Her faith was an important source of strength and belonging, and she found a spiritual home at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Broken Arrow.
Diana passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025, at Clarehouse in Tulsa, surrounded by love. The family is deeply grateful for the compassionate care she received there and kindly requests that memorial donations be directed to Clarehouse in her honor.
She is survived by her two sons, Jeremy Stanfill and Devon Stanfill; her mother, Reta Curl; and her siblings: Chuck (Kenna) Curl, Jeff (Tonya) Curl, Bruce (Shawn) Curl, Cyndie Short, and Brian (Guyla) Curl. Diana was preceded in death by her father, Charles Curl.
Diana's legacy lives on through her family, her art, and the countless memories she created with those who loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
