A memorial service to honor and celebrate the life of Della Creach will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the South Tulsa Baptist Church Chapel. Family will receive friends for viewing and visitation from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 26, 2018 in the RiverCrest Chapel, Bixby. A private interment will occur Saturday morning prior to the memorial. Della passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018 in Tulsa. She was 82. On February 29, 1936 at Shattuck, Oklahoma, a baby girl was born to Daniel and Mary Ellen Hixson. They named their baby Della Mythel. Della grew up on a cattle ranch in Ellis County. At the age of ten years, a new member came into the family - a brother Oliver Earl Hixson.After Arnett High School, Della went to Draughn's Business College in Oklahoma City, she later graduated from Oklahoma State in Stillwater. She interned to be a dietician at the Veteran's Hospital in Los Angeles California. On August 13, 1960, she married the man of her dreams, Wally Creach. To this union, God gave two wonderful daughters: Karen Ann and Kay Lynn. Della worked as a dietician consultant in many nursing homes and hospitals in Oklahoma. Her faith in God was demonstrated in the daily walk both at work and with her family.On October 21, 2018, God in His infinite wisdom took her home to be with Him. Remaining to have remembrances of her are: husband, Wally of the home; daughters: Karen and Dave Pollard of Houston, TX; Kay and Randy Watson of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren: Stuart and Callie Randel, Tyler Randel, Clark Watson and Camille Watson; nieces: Kristi Nicholas, Kathy Addis; nephew, DeWayne Hixson and numerous extended family.She was preceded in death by: Daniel and Mary Ellen Hixson, Oliver Hixson, Ernest Creach, Scott Creach and Colleen Creach. Those desiring to honor Della with a memorial contribution may direct their gift to the Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children, 3800 North May Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73112-6506Visitation RiverCrest Chapel 13329 S. Memorial Dr. Bixby, Oklahoma 74008 The visitation on Friday evening will give opportunity to anyone desiring to see and say farewell to Della, as it was her request for burial to precede the service at South Tulsa Baptist Church. 6:00 PM - 8:00 PMService South Tulsa Baptist Church 10310 S.
