A memorial gathering honoring and celebrating the life of Debra Lynne Edmonson will be held from 2-5 PM, Friday, November 8, 2019 at RiverCrest Chapel in Bixby. Services have been entrusted to Bixby Funeral Service. Debra passed away Wednesday morning, November 6, 2019 in Tulsa at the age of 63.Born December 25, 1955 in Tulsa, Debra was the daughter of Lloyd and Marian (Givens) Noe. Debra enjoyed her time growing up with her two brothers. She had a close relationship with her aunts and uncles as well. Family was always a top priority to Debra. For the most part, she grew up in Tulsa and later attended the University of Oklahoma.Most of Debra’s working life was spent at Gardner’s Used Books in Tulsa. She loved to read book after book, particularly romance and vampire novels. Debra also worked as a picture framer for several years at Michael’s, near Woodland Hills Mall. Debra met Robert Edmonson in the Brookside area of Tulsa in 1987. They would soon marry on August 17, 1988 in Burlington, Arkansas where Robert grew up. Debra and Robert enjoyed riding motorcycles during their early years together. They bowled in numerous leagues all over the Tulsa area, both individually and jointly, and also spent many weekends enjoying their pontoon boat on Ft. Gibson Lake. Debra always had a book in her hand while Robert was casting his rod and reel. Never afraid to share her opinion, Debra always known to be full of life. She loved her dogs as if they were the children she never had. Debra cherished spending time with her nieces, and will be dearly missed by many friends and family who loved her.Surviving family members include her husband, Robert; her brother, Terry Modgilin; and her nieces, Amanda and LeeAnn. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Michael Modgilin.
