Dawson WatsonMay 15, 1922 - March 11, 2019A native of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Dawson passed away in Slidell, Louisiana on March 11, 2019 at the age of 96.He is survived by three sons, Donald (Linda), David, Kenneth (Shirley), two grandchildren, Stephen Watson (Kelli) and Amy Mistich (Chad) and two great grandchildren, Bryce and Brayden Watson. Dawson was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Abbott, parents, Wallace and Annie, sister Ruth and his twin brother Doyle.Dawson was an avid gardener, liked to collect used computers at garage sales and refurbish them, had a marvelous train collection and was a ham radio operator.He served in the army during WWII in Europe alongside his brother Doyle seeing combat in France and Germany during the last few months of the war. After his tour in the Army Dawson finished college at OU. He then worked for Amoco in Tulsa, Oklahoma City and in the 60's was transferred to New Orleans. He stayed until he retired and then returned to his beloved Oklahoma. He moved into the same subdivision as his twin and was a frequent visitor at the house. Dawson will be buried beside Betty, his wife of 70 years in Greenhill Cemetery in Muskogee.Visitation Bixby Funeral Service 13307 S.
