Clark Stanton Brant's Obituary
Clark Stanton Brant, 79, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025. He was born on December 22, 1945, in McAlester, Oklahoma, to Walter and Alice (Urmston) Brant.
Clark grew up in McAlester as the youngest of four children, alongside his two brothers and sister. While growing up, he participated in Boy Scouts with hikes and overnight camping. Clark also enjoyed collecting coins and stamps, both domestic and foreign. An OU Sooner fan from a young age, he attended football games with his dad and later loved to watch pro football games with friends. He attended Central State College in Edmond, where he earned a Bachelor's of Business Administration. After college, Clark settled in Oklahoma City, where he began raising his family.
A devoted father, Clark always wanted the best for his children. He was known for his gentle reminders to "sit up straight, shoulders back," and his encouragement shaped their lives in countless ways. Clark cherished family road trips to Colorado, Wisconsin to visit his brother, and New Orleans. Time with Charles and Saraha included memorable weekends practicing driving at the lake and countless hours at the arcade. He was wholeheartedly supportive of all their endeavors, never missing sporting events or concerts, and loved documenting these precious moments through photography.
Clark had a deep love for gardening and spending time outdoors working in his yard, with hydrangeas holding a special place among his favorite plants. An intellectually curious man, he had a passion for linguistics, delighting in reading and learning other languages, including Egyptian hieroglyphics. He enjoyed decoding words and was particularly fascinated by names and their meanings.
Those who knew Clark would describe him as smart, intelligent, inquisitive, and observant, but above all, as someone who deeply loved his family. His face would light up whenever he encountered his loved ones. In his later years, he found great joy in participating in his grandchildren's lives, watching them grow and attending their school events.
Clark was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Alice Brant.
He is survived by his children, Saraha and her husband Beau, Charles Brant and his wife Judith, Amanda Sutton, and Olivia King; his grandchildren, Anna, Kaitlyn, Michael, Zach, Aurora, and Sage; his brothers, Walter Brant and John Brant and his wife Susan; and his sister, Amanda Lawrence and her husband Ken.
A funeral ceremony honoring Clark will be held at 1:30 PM on Thursday, December 4, 2025, in the Rivercrest Chapel. A private interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
