Christa Isaac's Obituary
Christa Isaac, 77, of Broken Arrow, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday morning, October 29, 2024.
Born July 22, 1947, in Stuttgart, West Germany, she was the daughter of Paul and Maria Schmidke. Christa grew up in the German countryside alongside her three brothers and sister, surrounded by flower fields and farming life. After completing her education, she began her career in Berlin working in garment manufacturing before advancing her education and becoming an administrative assistant. Her professional journey led her to supervisory roles, primarily in the trucking industry.
It was in West Berlin where she met Lee Isaac, who was stationed there with the U.S. Army. Their love story led to the birth of their first daughter, Wynoami, in January 1981 in Germany. After relocating to Chicago in 1983, they welcomed their second daughter, Scharlene, in 1984.
Following retirement at Fort Riley, Christa and her family moved to Tulsa in 1994, where she became an active member of Rhema Bible Church for many years. Known for her feisty spirit and innovative nature, Christa had a remarkable talent for transforming ordinary items into extraordinary creations. She meticulously organized every room with her cherished collectibles and took great pride in her garden, where she spent countless hours tending to her beloved flowers.
Christa was passionate about international cuisine, particularly German and Spanish dishes, with schnitzel being a specialty. Her other joys included interior design, caring for her two dogs, and cross-stitching. She possessed a unique ability to make something wonderful out of anything she touched.
She is survived by her daughters: Wynoami Glasser and husband Joseph and Scharlene Isaac; granddaughter, Wyatt; grandson, Nathaniel; and three brothers: Kurt, Owe, and Michael. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Maria Schmidke, and her sister, Gabbi.
A Celebration of Christa's life will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday, November 6, in the Great Room of Rivercrest. Viewing will begin at 12:00 PM at the same location.
