Chad Ashley Davis
May 1, 1979 - September 17, 2024
Chad Ashley Davis, a fun-loving spirit with a zest for life, passed away on September 17, 2024, at the age of 45. Born on May 1, 1979, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Doyle Davis and Mary Josephine "Jo" (Kerby) Davis, Chad grew up in Bixby, Oklahoma, where he was known as an active and mischievous little boy, always climbing trees and finding adventures.
Chad's school years were filled with sports and camaraderie as he took part in wrestling, football, and baseball at Bixby. His fearless nature and love for life made him the kind of person who never shied away from challenges or fun.
Chad's happiest moments were spent by the water. He had a special fondness for weekends at Fort Gibson, Keystone, and Lake Eufaula, where he camped, upgraded from tents to an RV, and enjoyed both his bass boat and family boat. Whether cruising the water or riding motorcycles, Chad embraced life with passion. He was always collecting new toys and items that brought him joy.
For many years, Chad worked at Advanced Composites, helping to build airplane parts. Later, his skills as a carpenter shone through in the thoughtful creations he made for his loved ones, from nightstands for his parents, Taylor, and Traci, to a special door and wood wall for Lacey. These handcrafted pieces will be cherished forever.
Chad's memory lives on through his beloved family: his wife, Traci Davis; his children, Taylor Ashley Davis and wife, Ashton, Talon Lane Upky, Brayden Ashley Davis, and Madalyn Jo Davis; his grandchildren, Marley Grace Davis, Delaney Reign Davis, and Tripp Taylor Davis, who lovingly called him "Cheech." He is also survived by his mother, Jo Davis, and his siblings, Jeffrey Doyle Davis, Gregory Donahue Davis, and Lacey Danielle Davis.
Chad was preceded in death by his father, Doyle Davis.
With his larger-than-life personality, Chad filled every room with laughter and love. His adventurous spirit, infectious humor, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
