Carmon Kay Haff's Obituary
Carmon Kay (Bilby) Haff was born August 10, 1971, in Claremore, Oklahoma, to John and Susie (Tiger) Bilby. Proud of her Muscogee (Creek) heritage, she actively honored her culture and passed those traditions on to her children.
In her younger years, Carmon loved the rodeo scene and competed as a barrel racer, often traveling with her mother in their pop-up camper to rodeo events. She also cherished simple joys like playing bingo, scrapbooking, gardening, thrift store shopping and cooking with family.
Carmon embraced motherhood at just fifteen years old and devoted her life to raising her five children. Though some seasons were difficult, she always found a way to provide. Her children never went without, and she faithfully supported their activities, working hard and doing whatever was needed.
Later in life, Carmon returned to school, earning both her bachelor's and master's degrees. She found her calling as a Child Protective Services Investigator for the State of Oklahoma and most recently worked for Saint Francis. Helping others was not just her profession - it was her purpose.
She loved traveling, camping, lake days, motorcycle rides with her husband Shannon, concerts with friends, and especially time with her grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook and hostess who believed the more the merrier. Sarcastic, stubborn, funny, and strong, Carmon gave tough love freely and laughter just as easily.
After a courageous 1 -year battle with breast cancer, Carmon passed away on February 23, 2026. She was a believer in God, and her family rests in that comfort.
She is survived by her husband, Shannon Haff; her children, Derek Huddleston, Tera Bilby, William Shockley III, Sarah Shockley, and Baylee Rudd; and her beloved grandchildren, Reese Calvert, Josey Martin, William Shockley IV, and Cash Cagle.
Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the family she loved fiercely, and the difference she made every single day.
A Service in Celebration and Honor of Carmon's life will be held on Monday, March 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Rivercrest Event Center, 13329 South Memorial Drive, Bixby, Oklahoma.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., also at the Rivercrest Event Center.
