Carl B. Reneau's Obituary
Carl Reneau Obituary
Carl B. Reneau II was born in Plantation, Florida on July 6, 1976. Much like the nameof his birth town might seem made up, so was the story of his life. When Carl was a baby, his parents made one good decision and moved to Oklahoma to benear his grandmother, Irene Estelle Reneau. She was the light of his childhood and the source of his moral compass. As a child Carl loved riding his bike barefoot with his sister, Therese, skipping schoolto watch Matlock, sneaking into T.U., playing arcade games at a bar he was far too youngto be allowed into, rescuing feral kittens to present to his mother, and playing withhis pet snake, Monty. He didn't care much for school and his mouth often got him into trouble, but he loved art class and discovered a passion for it at a very young age.As an adultish person, Carl continued to make art on his off time from breaking upfights during his many years of bouncing at many Tulsa bars. Most people know himfrom Empire, and many of his favorite memories are from that period of his life.He was an excellent axe thrower, grilled chicken to perfection, and was the funniestperson in any room. He was equal parts loud and messy, as he was kind and sensitive.Carl loved fun facts, especially if you did not ask for them. He loved to work in the word "exponentially" into a sentence at least once a day. He was really good at MortalKombat, like exponentially good.At the end of his life, Carl loved making his nurses laugh and was always the favoritepatient amongst them.Carl was wild and loved the best he knew how. If you knew him you know when you arelarger than life you can never really be gone. We all have our Carl stories and willmiss his voice and laughter deeply.Carl died on the morning of a record-breaking storm that brought 100-mile winds and widespreaddestruction to Northeast Oklahoma. So, all in all, a pretty epic mic drop. The great loves of his life were his beautiful daughter, Alexa Hope, and his very patient wife, Angela. He will be greatly missed, but we take comfort in knowing he is finally at peace.
