Bruce Lee Splane's Obituary
It is with great sadness that I share the passing of my beloved husband, Bruce Lee Splane who left us On February 9,2025 at 70 years old.
He was surrounded by his loving family in his final moments. He is survived by his wife Andrea Johns, his sister-in-law Maria Galloway, her wife Janelle Galloway, and their two children Franki Galloway and Darbi Galloway and her partner Augustus Willis: His daughter, April (Splane) Woolard and her husband Matthew Woolard, and their two children Aubrey Woolard and Cayden Woolard.
His son Bryan Splane, his daughter-in-law Michelle Letona, and their three children Demi Sansoni, Kennedy (KK) Letona, and Mateo Letona. His little sister Toni R. Dean and her husband Scott; and Dr and Mrs. Stan Kusch, and their children Amy Kusch Jones and Kali Kusch Kershaw. On December 31st, 1954, Bruce was born to Shirley and Billie Splane in Enid, Oklahoma at St. Mary's Hospital. Bruce attended OU Medical School and specialized in obstetrics and gynecology and served communities in Pennsylvania as well as Tulsa Oklahoma and the surrounding areas. It was estimated that Bruce during his career as an OB/GYN delivered approximately 15,000 babies, including his niece, Darbi Galloway.
Bruce took immense pride in his work as an OB/GYN, dedicating his life to the care and well-being of his patients. His compassion and expertise brought comfort to countless families, and his legacy lives on in the lives he touched.
Beyond his profession Bruce was known for his wicked sense of humor and was always ready with a clever remark or perfectly timed joke. He had a gift of making people laugh. Bruce had a passion for learning, travel, and science fiction books. In retirement became an avid biker, biking well over 5000 miles across the country. Bruce cherished his entire family deeply and will leave a lasting impact on all of us who knew him. He also loved his two Shih Tzu's, Butch and Harley and loved to go on adventures with them.
Bruce will live on in our hearts forever.
