Brenda Kathleen Kasdin's Obituary
Brenda Kathleen Kasdin, 73, of Glenpool, Oklahoma, peacefully passed away on July 27, 2025, at Clarehouse in Tulsa, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on November 5, 1951, in Los Angeles, California, Brenda was the beloved daughter of Lonnie and Lillian (Ward) Myers. She brought joy and warmth to everyone who knew her throughout her 73 years of life.
Brenda married Lorne Kasdin August 7, 2002 in Tulsa.
Brenda dedicated many years to serving others through her work in food service at the Oral Roberts University student center, where she touched the lives of countless students with her kindness and care. Her passion for cooking was legendary among family and friends, with her spaghetti and steak becoming cherished specialties that brought everyone together around the dinner table.
Music filled Brenda's heart and home. She had a deep love for the sounds of the 1950s and 1960s, particularly Motown, and was known for her beautiful singing voice. Those closest to her will forever remember how she lovingly sang grace every evening, a tradition that exemplified her grateful spirit. Her favorite color, pink, seemed to reflect her warm and gentle nature.
Brenda found great joy in her beloved puppy, Kiya, who was her faithful companion and brought her endless happiness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Lillian Myers, and her son, Clint Cosby.
Brenda's loving memory will be forever cherished by her devoted husband, Lorne; her son, Clay Cosby; and her four precious granddaughters, Cece Ruiz, Davary Mullowney, Myranda Mullowney and Desiree Ruiz, who were the light of her life.
Brenda will lie in state from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM on Friday, August 8, 2025, in the Parlor of Bixby-South Tulsa Funeral Service, where family and friends are invited to pay their respects.
A funeral ceremony celebrating Brenda's life will be held at 12:30 PM on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
Brenda's legacy of love, faith, and joy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Her evening songs of grace, her welcoming kitchen, and her loving spirit will be remembered always.
