Bonnie Jean Lewark, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on November 21, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on September 10, 1953, in Ganado, Arizona, and spent her formative years across the scenic landscapes of Arizona and Utah.
Bonnie was preceded in death by: her mother, Eleanor Nez; her brother, Daryl David; her uncle, Alfred Kodaseet; her aunt, Lucille Kodaseet, and her cousin, Edmond Kodaseet. She is survived by: her loving husband, Brad Lewark; and her daughters: Tanya (Polacca) Nelson and Bobbie (Polacca) Aviles. Bonnie's legacy extends to her six grandchildren: Joshua Fixico, Angel Nelson, Darryl Polacca, Charles Polacca, Martika Johnson, and Syrena Polacca. Her great-grandchildren, Oliver, Nayeli, Bradley, Khali, Adriel, Eli, Zoey, and Chloe, will carry on the warmth and love she bestowed upon them.
Born in the heart of Arizona, Bonnie dedicated close to thirty years of her life to WL Gore in Flagstaff, Arizona. It was there that she showcased not only her professional dedication but also her unwavering commitment to her colleagues, creating lasting friendships that mirrored the familial bonds she held so dear.
On March 16, 2019, Bonnie married the love of her life, Brad Lewark, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared dreams.
Beyond her professional achievements and family life, Bonnie had a myriad of hobbies that reflected her creative spirit. One of those was the feel of the open road while riding her Harley Davidson. Others included crochet, sewing, cooking, baking, and coloring. There is no doubt, Bonnie's hands were always busy creating and bringing joy to those around her. Her creations were not just artistic expressions but tangible manifestations of her boundless love and care.
Descriptive words like loving, caring, big-hearted, happy, energetic, family-oriented, full of integrity, and strong aptly capture the essence of Bonnie Jean Lewark. In addition to her immediate family, Bonnie is survived by her dear cousin, Liling James, along with, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends. Her departure leaves a void that will be felt deeply, but the memories of her love and the impact she made on those around her will forever be cherished.
A celebration of Bonnie's life will be held to honor the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. May she rest in eternal peace, and may her family and friends find comfort in the memories they shared with this remarkable woman.
