Billie Ross Obituary
Billie Lewis Ross was born on January 14, 1939, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, to Frank and Gretchen Ross. It was in Muskogee that he met his beloved wife, Twyla "Charlene." The couple married December 29, 1955.
Later, Billie moved to the Tulsa area, where he found employment at Frito Lay. In 1966, he built a home in Southtown, Bixby, and raised his children, Donnie and Ronnie, who attended Bixby Schools. He developed a passion for woodworking and fishing.
Billie's career included notable roles at Saint Francis Hospital and St. John, where his engineering prowess and dedication were evident. He was known for his ability to tackle any challenge with a determined spirit.
In later years, Billie accepted Jesus Christ as his savior and found solace in his faith. He cherished time spent with his family, including his sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Billie was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 55 years, his brother Carl, and his sisters, Wanda Lee and Louella. He is survived by his sons Donnie and Ronnie and his wife, Joan, and his grandchildren, Rachelle Hopper and her husband Brian, Kenzie Dawn Ross, Brad Ross and wife, Jessica, Christopher Ross and wife, Jessica; great grandchildren: Reagan Hopper, Gibson, Harrison, Amelia, Addison and Harvey.
A funeral ceremony honoring Billie will take place 1:30 PM Friday, April 5 at the Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel in Muskogee. Billie will lie in state from 11 AM - 6 PM Thursday in the Parlor of Bixby- South Tulsa Funeral Service.
