Services to honor and celebrate the life of Betty Hatcher will be 3:00 pm Saturday, December 18, 2021 at RiverCrest Chapel and Event Center. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral from 2-3:00 pm, also at RiverCrest Chapel and Event Center.Betty Burgess Hatcher was born September 24, 1930, at Tulsa, Oklahoma the daughter of Gordon and Venita Gladson. She grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma graduating from Central High School. Betty and Charles Hatcher were united in marriage on December 11, 1948, at St. Paul’s Methodist Church of Tulsa, Oklahoma. They were members of South Tulsa Baptist Church. In recent years, Betty moved to Joplin, Missouri to be close to her daughter.Betty passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Joplin, Missouri. She was 91 years of age.She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Patty Van Fossen, brother, Robert Gladson, a daughter, Dorinda Hatcher and a son Charles Hatcher, Jr.Betty is survived by: Son, Jeff Hatcher and his wife Loretta of Huntsville, Alabama; Daughter, Jeanne Young and her husband Ted of Joplin, Missouri; Grandchildren, Charis Hatcher, Alyssa Hatcher & Erin Hatcher of Huntsville, Alabama, Jessica Sousa and her husband Phil of Springfield, Missouri, and John Young of Joplin, Missouri; Great Grandchildren, Jordan Sousa and Ellie Sousa of Springfield, Missouri.
