Belinda Caldwell's Obituary
Belinda Kay (Berryhill) Caldwell, 79, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026, in McKinney, TX. Belinda was born on November 25, 1946, to C.D. and Helen Pauline (Griffith) Berryhill in Bakersfield, CA. She was raised in Haskell, OK, where her parents instilled in her great pride in being one-quarter Creek Indian. She attended Haskell High School, in the graduating class of 1965. Within a week of her high school graduation, Belinda married the love of her life, Al Caldwell, and together they built a life and started their family. She was a faithful employee of PSO for almost 20 years, and while employed there, she earned an Associates degree from Tulsa Junior College.
Throughout her life, Belinda taught us the true meaning of love, sacrifice and resilience. She encouraged her family with wisdom and patience, and comforting words, always putting the needs of others before her own. Belinda rarely sat still, and preferred being busy taking care of and decorating her home, planting spring flowers and raking fall leaves in her yard, cooking for her family, and making sure those in her company were well cared for.
Belinda enjoyed shopping and fashion, and turned her flair for style into a boutique clothing and jewelry business for many years. She also loved to travel, and she and Al celebrated their 25th anniversary in San Antonio, TX, their 40th anniversary in Anguilla, BWI, their 50th anniversary in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and they enjoyed several other trips to Las Vegas, NV, St. Croix USVI, and to Washington D.C. But one of Belinda's favorite places to travel was to the SWAIA Indian Market in Santa Fe, NM, where she was able to combine her appreciation for her Indian heritage, and her love for shopping, fashion, and travel.
Belinda was preceded in death by her parents, C.D. and Pauline Berryhill, her brother Dewey (Eddie) Berryhill, and her daughter Shawnda Caldwell. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Al Caldwell, son Brien Caldwell (and wife Lesli), beloved granddaughter Maggie Caldwell, nephew Wayne Berryhill and family, niece Tishanda Baker and family, and numerous cousins.
Though her absence leaves an ache in our hearts, we take comfort in knowing Belinda has entered the kingdom of Heaven and is with her Lord and Savior. And we will honor her memory by upholding all of the traditions and celebrations with family that she held so dear.
Visitation will be on February 23, 2026 from 6PM to 8PM, and funeral service will be on February 24, 2026 at 12PM at Bixby-South Tulsa Funeral Service & Crematory located at 13329 S. Memorial Dr. in Bixby, OK.
