Services honoring and remembering Barbara Ann Seaton will be held 2 PM Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Bixby-South Tulsa Funeral Service & Crematory, 13307 S. Memorial Drive. Pastor Guy Parish will be officiating. Barbara passed away Monday, August 8, 2022 in Tulsa. She was 77 years old.
Barbara was born April 12, 1945 in Muskogee, Oklahoma, the daughter of William and Sylvia (Hughes) Shiew. She graduated from Oktaha High School with the Class of 1963. During her early years, Barbara worked hard as a waitress in the local soda shops and even mowed lawns in the area for extra money.
Barbara was a strong Christian who was devoted to serving in her church. She loved gospel music and playing games, especially Wahoo! Protective, giving, and sweet are words to best describe Barbara Seaton. She was a wonderful mother to her son, Chris, as well as an extraordinary grandmother to his children through the years.
Surviving family include her son Chris Seaton and his wife, Shelley Shoun; her grandchildren, Darian Gates, Keylan Seaton, Kendall Seaton, Marley Seaton; and her great granddaughter, Mylah Jamison.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, Johnny, Tommy, Edna, and Harold, Juanita.
