A service to celebrate the life of Barbara Linn Taylor will be 10:30 am Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at South Tulsa Baptist Church. Barbara, loving wife of Gene Taylor, peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2019 in the presence of her family. She was 77.Born November 10, 1941 in Neodesha, Kansas, Barbara was the daughter of Dorothy and Lawrence Kingcade. She was a graduate, with the Class of 1959, from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa. On August 24, 1962, Barbara married Gene Taylor and later gave birth to their two children, David and LaDonna. Barbara was quick-witted, silly and never met a stranger. If you knew her, she was your loyal friend forever. Beyond being a loving mother, she loved being a grandmother. When she wasn't caring for her children and grandchildren, Barbara could be found in her garden, greenhouse, kitchen, working on a crossword puzzle or cheering on her beloved Cowboys and OU football teams. Every week Barbara mowed her lawn on her riding lawnmower. And if she wasn't busy enough, she helped her husband, Gene, run his various businesses. Survived by: her loving husband of 56 years, Gene Taylor; children, David Taylor of Tulsa, and LaDonna Duffy and husband, David of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Cian and Niamh Duffy of Chicago, Lexi, Parker and Kaydee Taylor of Tulsa; sister, Beverly Rouse and husband, Jim and several cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives. Memorial contributions may be made to: Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences, University of Oklahoma Foundation- College of Medicine Tulsa, or charity of choice.Service South Tulsa Baptist Church 10310 S.
