Anne Elizabeth Belt's Obituary
Anne Elizabeth Belt passed away on February 15, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Belt, and her daughters, Terri Bishop and Jayme Perkins. She is survived by her son-in-law, Randy Perkins, her niece, Marcya Kissinger and her nephews, Gary Durland, Brian Durland and Rob Durland.
Anne was born on the 24th of January 1935 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She married the love of her life October 1, 1954. Anne worked as a teacher and counselor in Tulsa Public Schools until her retirement. After retiring, she moved to Sarasota, Florida, where she and Jim enjoyed many years of global travel and beach life. After Jim's passing in 2012, Anne relocated to Tulsa to be with her extended family and friends, and to be nearer to her daughter Jayme who at that time resided in Mena, Arkansas.
She settled at Methodist Manor (now Trinity Woods) in 2015. Her niece and nephews-Gary, Marcy, Brian, and Rob-shared many cherished memories with her. Anne kept a treasure trove of photo albums documenting her travels and our lives. We often shared these with her to keep her memories alive. One of her fondest memories was when three-year-old Gary placed his finger in his ear during a family wedding photo.
A memorial service will be held 3 PM Monday, March 17, 2025 in the Trinity Woods Chapel. Anne will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery.
