Ann Frances Moses' Obituary
Ann Moses Obituary
Born June 18, 1951 in Patterson, New Jersey, Ann was the daughter of Wanda (Wieczorkowski) and Hans Karl Weiss. She was raised and educated in New Jersey, and attended the Fairleigh Dickinson University and eventually began working in the electric utility industry. During this chapter of her life, she was required to attend a conference in Kansas City; the same conference that was attended by a young man named Randy Moses, who was living in Dallas, Texas at the time. The two met at that October 1982 conference and sparked an immediate bond. After exchanging phone numbers and returning home, several months and many very expensive phone bills later, the couple decided to move forward with their relationship. From the start of their relationship, Randy had made it clear that he would only cross the Mason-Dixon line with a round trip ticket. Tired of the New Jersey winters, Ann decided to give the south a chance. Soon after, they were married on August 24, 1984 in Dallas, TX and made their home there for several years before moving to Shreveport, LA where they would welcome a baby boy and enjoy a calmer pace along with less traffic. Several happy years later, Randy's career required a transfer and the Moses family moved to Tulsa in 1997 where they settled and began to put down roots.Ann ultimately found employment with Oklahoma Central Credit Union as a Human Resource Manager and retired in 2018 after a 16-year career, during which time her presence made a profound impact on those with whom she crossed paths. It was soon after the relocation to Tulsa that Ann was introduced to Special Olympics of Oklahoma and found her passion blossom. She was a long-time volunteer with the organization and a member of the State Games Committee, volunteering more than 18 years of her life.Ann Frances Moses peacefully passed away Friday surrounded by her loving family. She was 67.Her legacy will continue to live in the lives of her family: husband Randy; son Craig; niece Jennifer Weiss of Butler, NJ; nephew Adam Pienkny of Charlotte, NC; great niece Nicole Sirignano of Chestnut Ridge, NY and brother-in-law Stefan Pienkny of Charollote, NC.She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Karl Weiss, and sister-in-law Gail Ann Pienkny.Services to honor Ann's life will be on her birthday at 3:00 pm on June 18th.
