Ann Denny's Obituary
Ann Denny Obituary
Born June 24, 1945 in the Hastings Indian Hospital in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Elizabeth "Ann" Crowe was the daughter of Josie Bell Crowe. Raised and educated in her birth community, Ann became a graduate of Tahlequah High School. Married on December 22, 1962 to Harley Denny, Ann and Harley would make their home in the Tulsa area. Attending beauty school, Ann became an owner and operator of her own beauty shop before attending Wings Nursing School in Broken Arrow where she received training as a nurse technician. Ann would then work for St. Francis and South Crest hospitals and even provide private care to individuals throughout her career. However, there was nothing that brought Ann more joy than being a wife, mother and grandmother and she certainly treasured the times she was able to watch and care for her granddaughters! Now, Christmastime was Ann's favorite time of the year! In fact, she would over-decorate with trees in almost every room. This accessorizing seemed to be a bit of a theme in Ann's life as she had plenty of shoes, purses and jewelry to add a little bling to any outfit. Described as: devoted, good-hearted, a woman that loved God, and as a people person, Ann loved people and they certainly loved her back! It was on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 that Ann was called home. She passed away in Claremore with her family at her side. She was 73. Ann is survived by: her loving husband, Harley Denny of the home; children: daughter, Traci Hughes and husband, Kevin and son, Brent Denny and wife, Shannon; granddaughters: Jamin, Jacee and husband, Sean, Devynn and Zoë; niece, Rene French; two great-nieces that Ann loved as two additional granddaughters: Tiffany and Courtney; two great-granddaughters: Gabriela and Brylee and one great-grandson, Elias. She was preceded in death by: her brother, Gerald Crowe; nephews, Allen and Kendall; and a niece, Dawn Michele.
